April Is Alcohol Awareness Month

How can you stay motivated?

We are seeing alcohol use disorders rise in our clinic and around the country. One study shows sales of alcoholic beverages increased by more than 30%. Many are using alcohol as a coping technique for stress. This is concerning as increased alcohol use can lead to many health problems.

Identifying an alcohol use disorder can be tricky. If you are concerned at all about alcohol use, make an appointment to discuss with your doctor. There is no need to struggle alone. Our understanding and treatment of alcohol use disorders have come a long way in the last few years. Most treatment doesn’t involve an intensive program, just simply meeting with your doctor regularly, taking medications and/or going to counseling.

Call our office for more information and call the national addiction treatment hotline 1- 800-662- HELP.

Feeling Distressed, Depressed, Anxious or Concerned?

If you are feeling distressed, depressed, anxious or concerned we are here to help. Please set up a Telehealth appointment to discuss options. Telehealth appointments can be done with a computer or a smart-phone. We’ll come up with a personalized plan together.
